At
my English lessons I learnt that the UK is ruled by the queen who is 92 years old and has been the ruler of the country for about 65 years by now. She has become the oldest monarch in the history of the country. I was surprised: how has she managed to live and rule for so long? I wondered what the cause of her longevity as a person and as a queen is.
Now I’ll try to highlight the key moments and sides of her life and work and find out the secret of her long and productive life.

Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary "Windsor") is the Queen of
the United Kingdom. She is also the monarch of 15 other countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and others.

Elizabeth was born in London on 21 April 1926. Her
father was Prince Albert. He was Duke of York. Her mother was Elizabeth. She was Duchess of York.
Elizabeth was named after her mother. Her nickname was "Lilibet".

The Queen-mother, Elisabeth Bowes-Lyon lived 101 years
Her
grandmother, Mary of Teck died at the age of 85
And her great grandmother, Queen Victoria, died at the age of 89. Her reign was the longest in the history of Great Britain before 2015When Elisabeth II beat the record.

Elizabeth was 13 years old when World War II
started. London was bombed. But the princess didn’t leave her country, she did everything in her power to help her people.
Princess Elizabeth joined the British army in 1945. She drove a truck. She was a mechanic.

In 1951, the King's health was poor. He could not go
to many public events. Princess Elizabeth started to make official visits for him. The King died on 6 February 1952. Elizabeth was crowned queen on 2 June 1953.

Princess Elizabeth married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on 20 November
1947. The wedding was held in Westminster Abbey.
Throughout her long reign, Queen Elizabeth II has been supported in her duties by her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The couple have four children; Charles, Prince of Wales (1948) , Anne, Princess

In 1952, Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip
moved into Buckingham Palace in central London. This is the main official home of the monarch.
The Queen likes to go to Canada. She calls Canada her "home away from home".

Ever since she became the Queen, Elizabeth has spent
about three hours every day "doing the boxes". The "boxes" are two large red boxes full of state papers sent to her from her various departments, embassies, and government offices.

London, she meets her Prime Minister once a week, to talk about events. She also has meetings with the First Minister of Scotland and other Ministers of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, and the Prime Ministers and Ministers of other countries, when she is in their country, or when they visit London.
Elizabeth II is friends with many world leaders.

She sleeps 7 hours per night and gets up at the same time every morning

She walks in the park for 2 hours every day, goes horse-riding twice a week

Elisabeth II reads newspaper every day and exercises her mind and brain.
Charity
The Queen is the head of more than 500 organizations which work for the good of the people of Britain and other countries. Every member of the royal family works in charity organizations attracting the public attention to such problems as serious diseases, unemployment, hunger and others.

Elisabeth II has always loved animals, especially
horses and dogs. Many scientific researches state that love for nature, animals and pets prolongs human life.
During all her reign corgi dogs have lived in her palace. Corgis are very friendly, cheerful and faithful dogs, that have always been her favourites.

Prince Philip promised to help the Queen on the day
of her Coronation and so he does. The Queen was also helped by her mother Queen Elizabeth, known as "The Queen Mother", who lived to be 101 years old, and stayed very active in her old age.

Optimism. People say that the Queen is always in good mood.
