Our village Bar is situated in the republic of Buryatia in
Mukhorshibirsky district. Buryatia is a part of the Russian Federation territory.

Bar is well-known for its rich flora and fauna. It is
conditioned by its location on the border of two different natural areas: Eastern-Siberian mountain and taiga area and central-Asian steppes. Our mountain sides are covered by deciduous, fir cedar forests. Our forests are valuable and perspective for the production.

Fauna is very varied and interesting. Valuable fur-bearing animals such as
bears, foxes, wolves, manchurian deers, squarrels, wild pigs, lynxes

Barskaya school is the educational and cultural centre of our village.
There are 74 pupils, 14 teachers, 10 workers in it.

Kindergarten ’’Beryoska’’ was build in 1976 year. There are two groups
in it: junior (for children from 1,5 to 3 years) and secondary (for children from 3 to 6). Then they must go to school.

Primary education starts at the age of 6 and
continues till 10-11 years. Secondary education is provided from the age of 11-12 years. Intermediate school includes grades 6 through 9.

Approximately half of our population are engaged in agriculture. They produce
grain, meat, milk and other dairy products (cheese, cream), which are famous for quality not only in our village, but in our republic too.

There is the Lenin`s mountain in the middle of our village.
It was called in honour of the leader of our country Vladimir Iliych Uliyanov. His nickname was Lenin.

Kolya’s grade is famous for its beautiful sport squares, swinges, small houses, clear water, fresh air, nice nature.
